An unwelcome guest comes home. It startles you when you see him sitting in your house ridiculing your folly that has served him gain access to the house. He considers you on par with the other ignorants, who, because of their ignorance, do not understand the perils they bring upon themselves, their loved ones and on humanity. He scorns the human nature of doing just the things they have been advised against. Someone who has never done a decent day’s worth of physical activity all his life wants to go for a jog and entire neighborhoods want to visit tourists’ destinations all when they have been asked to stay indoors. He is the Corona Virus, overjoyed at having met the human species who act foolishly enough to let him thrive and multiply.
‘Deadly C’ is a lockdown film by director Ashish Bisht. Shot under the lockdown conditions with a single person crew also doubling up as the actors, the film is a wake-up call for the complacent in the population who yet refuse to accept the threat of the virus seriously. It talks of the good times the virus is enjoying with his new victims and how only following the protocols of wearing masks, following social distancing and regular washing of hands can protect mankind from the virus. The film ends on the note that though the battle has been won, the war is still at large and this is not the time to let down your guard.
