“The dollhouse’ is a short length script by writer Brooke DeRosa. DeRosa picks the narrative up from the nondescript event of a mother taking home a discarded old dollhouse from the garbage bin for her daughter. The story builds upon regular day-to-day events that happen in every household, like children playing with a new toy, etc. The screenplay then introduces mysteries into the mix, effortlessly thickening the plot without any sudden events that thrill and scare. The screenplay delivers the chills of a sinister revelation, without the need to use special visual effects while filming. This makes the script great for low-budget productions too.

‘The dollhouse’ is a sinister thriller in its own right that is sure to send chills down the spine with its regular domestic setting and a mundane sequence of events that builds up to a shocking twist at the end.
